EXTRACT CLEANING

Industrial, commercial, toilet and bathroom environments

Industrial and Commercial

Industrial extraction systems in process industries, and even the best-designed Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems, are naturally vulnerable to excess fouling. Accumulated deposits can reduce the design air flow with deleterious effects such as reduction in LEV capture efficiency; contamination of product, and -not least- fire safety. A ‘fuse’ of flammable, potentially explosive, material can transport fire throughout a facility.

Examples range from food processing, metal-working, pharmaceutical and animal house, through to packaging, printing and laundry environments.

Ductwork Clean will plan and execute a safe plan of work, taking account of specific hazards in our Risk Assessment and Method Statement. Ductwork Clean has the scale and flexibility to tie in with the briefest maintenance windows. If the luxury of a shutdown is not available, we can usually devise safe, effective and non-disruptive special measure to work around your requirements.

Toilet and Bathroom

WC, bathroom and small, domestic extraction systems foul up almost inevitably. Clogging of up to 95% of the cross-sectional area has been shown, practically shutting down extraction flow. Even more typical rates of fouling can soon have an effect on odour and moisture removal. In turn, this has knock-on effects on comfort and the served area environment, including chronic mould formation. In hospitality and commercial settings bad odour in poorly-served WCs can be bad enough, but in residential flat blocks dampness and mould can have serious health effects on occupants.

Ductwork Clean has the technology and experience to complete remedial works quickly, safely and with a minimum of disruption. In multi-tenanted/occupied residential situations, we understand that we’re (usually) entering people’s homes. In most cases, we can develop a cleaning method that absolutely minimises flat entry and reduces ‘no access’ reports to a bare minimum.

In hospitality and commercial jobs, we almost always work ‘out-of-hours’ around customer requirements. There is barely any interruption to normal service and the only thing users notice is a fresher bathroom/toilet.
